Your solution
Our solution brings together neighbours and elderly people for reducing driving while delivering food more regularly. The food is brought to central hubs (kindergartens, schools, …) and collected by the neighbours (parents, friends, …) which bring it to the elderly person. Trust and transparency is created by adding QA codes to the food box and using a digital solution for communication and planning.

Your solution
KommonCare enables social and environmental sustainability by engaging communities into the care of senior citizens. KommonCare is a web application, a platform for requesting and offering services and creating social gatherings.

Data sources and technics
We have developed a prototype in a MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular.js and Node.js). We have implemented a REST API that the Angular front-end uses to retrieve data to populate the views of the platform. Accessible at: http://kommoncare.davidmr.es (GitHub repository: http://github.com/necavit/kommoncare)

Copyright notions about the contribution?
Everything is open-source software. We are releasing it under the MIT license.

Third parties or third-party software?
We have used MongoLab to host the MongoDB instance for the back-end.
